As dedicated professionals in the field of firefighting and paramedics, we recognized the pressing need to provide secure and comfortable living conditions for seniors within their own homes. In 2009, we took the initiative to establish a non-medical home care company, which has since flourished into one of Michigan's largest private duty home care agencies. Over the years, we have proudly served more than 1,500 clients, solidifying our commitment to assisting seniors in maintaining their independence and well-being.

Caring for seniors extends far beyond mere business for us—it is an integral part of our identity. Drawing upon the invaluable experiences gained throughout our journey, we decided to expand our efforts by investing in a home health agency, 1st Call Home Healthcare. Our mission is to apply the same fundamental principles that have driven our success in non-medical care to the realm of medical-based home care. By prioritizing exceptional customer service and assembling a team of compassionate and highly skilled professionals, we aim to deliver top-notch care and support to our clients.

CARF Accreditation

1st Call Home Healthcare has been awarded with a three-year accreditation for the following programs/services:


  • Home and Community Services (Adults)
  • Home and Community Services (Children and Adolescents)


CARF Accreditation is a public seal of trust and commitment to quality based on internationally accepted standards. Achieving this accreditation demonstrates 1st Call Home Healthcare's commitment to exceptional, personalized care. An organization receiving the highest level of CARF accreditation has undergone a detailed peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors, during an on-site visit, its commitment to providing programs and services of the highest quality. This accreditation will extend through March 31, 2025.

CHAP Accreditation

1st Call Home Health Services has been awarded CHAP Accreditation under the CHAP Home Health Standards of Excellence. This accreditation will extend through March 9, 2025.


CHAP Accreditation demonstrates that 1st Call Home Health Services meets the industry's highest nationally recognized standards. The rigorous evaluation by CHAP focuses on structure and function, quality of services and products, human and financial resources and long-term viability. Simply stated, adherence to CHAP's standards leads to better quality care.
